Agree assistance and stopping conditions

Temporary equipment still needs permissions, inspection and a safe alternative when unavailable. When it is removed, verify that access remains possible and restore any approved fixing points. Ask for the permissible configuration, required securing method, usable deck width, load limit, weather restrictions and inspection schedule for the exact model. Clarify whether occupied travel is allowed and what training or assistance is expected. Confirm delivery dimensions, returns and replacement-part support. Broad descriptions invite broad recommendations; a measured brief produces answers that can be compared against the real obstacle and reveals any information that still needs professional assessment.

Use a final readiness review

Before first use, confirm that the equipment matches the order, the instructions are present and the route is unobstructed. Check stable contacts, locks, gradient, clearances, landing space, lighting and the assistance plan. Make sure an alternative route exists if conditions change. Ask the wheelchair user whether the setup feels understandable and whether they want to proceed. Record defects or uncertainty instead of pressing ahead to meet a schedule. Readiness means the site, chair, equipment and people align; a new ramp by itself does not establish safe access.
