Read the care information before first use

Keep the supplied label, leaflet and packaging information together. They explain which cleaning method suits the material, how it should be dried and whether any closures need special handling. Do not assume that advice for an outdoor coat applies to a wheelchair cover. Coatings, clear panels, sealed seams and reflective details may respond differently.

Record the cover's make or identifying details in the same place as the instructions. If the label later becomes hard to read, the original guidance remains available. Clean according to the material

Use only the washing approach stated by the cover maker. Some materials may be wiped, while others may have different directions. More vigorous cleaning is not necessarily more effective and can be unsuitable for coatings or bonded sections.

Close or open fastenings exactly as directed before cleaning. Empty the storage pouch and check it separately, because trapped grit can return to the cover after it has been cleaned. Never experiment with household solvents or strong stain removers. When a mark remains, ask the maker for advice instead of escalating the treatment.

Protect clear panels and reflective details

Transparent areas can become harder to see through if they are folded against grit or rubbed with an unsuitable cloth. Shake off loose particles using the approved method before wiping. Reflective strips and printed markings also deserve a visual check. Look for peeling, deep creases or sections hidden by the way the cover sits. Return the pouch to the same reachable location after every drying session. Confirm that the user or companion who fits the cover can access it with the chair occupied. Fold in a way that supports the next use
